Following the recent fuel subsidy removal and subsequent rise in
petrol price announced by the federal government last week, the
activists of Joint Action Front (JAF) conducted a rehearsal for an
anti-fuel hike protest in Yaba area, Lagos state.

The protest organised by a pro-labour unions is scheduled for
tomorrow, Wednesday, May 18. The JAF was among first set of groups to
step out against the policy of deregulation and increase in prices of
Premium Motor Spirit (PMS).

Meanwhile, the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union
Congress (TUC) have both agreed to embark on their proposed industrial
action on Wednesday, May 17,
despite court ruling.
