reiterated that Imo State economy is healthy as he
declared that; "Imo State is not owing any bank
anywhere in the world. We have not borrowed a
dime"
The Governor was speaking as journalists under the
auspices of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ)
and newspaper proprietors under the auspices of
Independent Newspaper Publishers' Association
(INPA) paid him a solidarity visit.
Rattled by the volume and quality of projects being
embarked on by the Imo State Chief Executive,
some opposition politicians in the State had alleged
that the governor could not be doing these projects
while being up to date in the payment of salaries
without having to borrow money from financial
institutions.
