Reekado Banks: The time is right for a new Mavin album

Two years have seen the 'small boy' become a 'big man', and a big
project is on it's way.

Reekado Banks came on to the scene as a fresh-faced singer who Mavin
Records were blooding in to mainstream pop music. His debut single,
'Turn it up', a dancehall gem featuring Tiwa Savage, failed to make a
deep mark on the scene, as did the others by his colleagues and fellow
classmates, Di'Ja and Korede Bello. But more was to come. His depth of
talent, and mastery of pop composition was evident, and he has over
time kept up his end of the bargain, by getting hits.
Reekado Banks is an amazing singer, songwriter and composer. The young
man who prior to signing up with the Mavins was named Spicy.
He had a following in University of Lagos, worked on some singles
which put him on the map, but ultimately got his name stolen by some
other artiste. The good part of this story is that Reekado Banks
cooler than Spicy. Spicy Chicken.

Reekado Banks is ready for an album. The singer's creativity cannot be
thrown into a lifetime of singles, with nothing to mark the various
points of his growth and influence. He is the first of the Mavins to
neo-Mavins to take this route, trumping the Jheri-curled Korede Bello
to it. As with all Mavin albums, the LP will be helmed by Don Jazzy,
Babyfresh and Altims , and will have a number of top collaborators on
it.

Two years have seen the 'small boy' become a 'big man', and a big
project is on it's way. Let's all anticipate.
