Students of Imo state university owerri have shown concern over the manner members of anti-terrorism squad and men of imo state university security are reportedly harassing them over unnecessary issues.
The students alleged that the
soldiers who are paid to protect lives of students have abandoned their duties
to public intimidation of unarmed students whose freedom of movement is
guaranteed by the Nigerian constitution.
Furthermore, rather
than focus on the marauding cultists who are killing students almost on daily basis;
the soldiers are dealing with innocent students who are no threat to public
peace in the campus environs.
Without any recent successful arrest
of those actually perpetuating evil in the university environs and in the various
student alliances, the men of the anti-terrorism squad have recorded huge
successes in the violation of the fundamental human rights of the greatest
Nigerian students which should not be so.
This Nigerian police and army brutality is getting out of hand are in s military regime they feel so superior and untouchable whereas must of them barely made their school cert bunch of never do well u takes advantage of the government uniform to terrorise civilians
