Union Leader, Comr. Dynamic Darlington Uzoahia has called on the
executive governor of Imo State and Visitor to Imo State University,
Owelle Rochas Okorocha to extend the tenure of the acting Vice
Chancellor Professor Adaobi Obasi while awaiting the report of the
ongoing investigation surrounding the controversial Suspension of the
substantive Vice Chancellor Prof. Ukachukwu Awuzie.
Speaking during the weekend at the 3rd BI-ANNUAL CONFERENCE of
"African Institute of Academic and Conflict Research" held in Owerri.
The renowned Youth activist and Former Chairman of Early Warning
Signal described Professor Adaobi Obasi as a Consummate administrator
per excellence whose virtues are cherished by many. Uzoahia noted that
the mistake of unjust-fully removing the former Substantive Vice
Chancellor of the University Professor Innocent Chuka Okonkwo by
former Governor Ikedi Ohakim's administration has continued to hurt
the University's administrative excellence, hence; described the
subsequent emergence of Professor Ukachukwu Awuzie as the Substantive
Vice Chancellor as "A Beautiful House built on a faulty Foundation"
which he said will always boomerang.
