The green flowers, the colorful Auditorium filled to the
brim hosted the 2017 edition of Mr. and Miss IMO state university Wednesday 5th
July.
It was a well contested beauty pageant, the best of its kind in IMSU as over 22
(twenty-two) contestants, ten males and females respectively cutting across the
11 (eleven) faculties took the bold step.
IMSU executives, Parliament, Mc Chuks and friends, pageant ambassadors among
others were the pair of eyes brought to examine the contest.
Cross section of the audience credited the contestants' beautiful regalia,
cultural and casual parade to being the product of a pleasing camp out.
The fun and laughter was double as the program was anchored by two fast raising
Masters of Ceremony Mc Ice Candy da comedian alongside Mc bad mouth; comedy,
dance and music from likes of ok- David, lambasix, Lady gaga among others who
graced the event all the way from Lagos state added spices to the event.
After series of impromptu questions, parade and display of talent, the Crown
which its duration is one year was delighted to Mr. Achowuba Cyndale a 200
Level student from department of computer science, indigenous to Owerri West
Local Government of Imo State defeating the other nine contestants in the male
category.
At the same time Miss Hope Onwuihiagwa 100 Level student
from department of library and information science, faculty of education won Miss
IMSU 2017 Crown gaining victory over eleven females that contended.
The contributions of Globacom Nigeria, SUG President Iwuchukwu frankine, vice
president, Director of socials, Miss Queenth, former Director of social among
others made Mr. and Miss IMSU 2017 a candle that worth the cake, ever ringing
in the ears of students.
