NAFDAC splashes gifts to six Imo schools

The National Agency for Food Drug Administration
and Control (NAFDAC) on Tuesday splashed gift
items to winners of 2015/2016 NAFDAC Consumer
Safety Clubs in Imo State.The winners of the
NAFDAC quiz emerged from; Logos International
Secondary School Awo-omma; Federal
Government College Okigwe; Owerri Girls
Secondary School; Alavana Model Secondary
School Owerri; Federal Government Girls College,
Owerri and Holy Ghost College Owerri.
The Imo State Coordinator of NAFDAC, Mr Mmamel
Victor, who conducted the prize given ceremony in
Owerri said NAFDAC Consumer Safety Club was
established by the agency to further extend its
public enlightenment and sensitization activities
among young Nigerians.Victor said that the duties
of members of the club included among other
things to inform, educate and enlighten the people
in the bid to promote healthy culture and usage of
drugs with a view to preventing misuse and abuse
of drugs.
