Just In: Six killed as Niger Delta militants attack NNPC boat

A boat belonging to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC)
has been attacked by militants
– During the attack, six people were killed
– The attack took place in Warri
The army in a statement on Thursday, June 2, said four civilians, two
soldiers were killed.

"During the deliberate attack two soldiers were killed, one wounded,
one soldier missing while four civilian staff attached to the house
boat were shot dead," the army said in a statement.

The attack took place on Wednesday, June 1 in the Warri area of Delta
state where militants have staged a series of attacks on oil pipelines
in recent weeks.
There were no claims as to what militant group orchestrated the attacks.
