IMSU STRIKE: Cultists on rampage at IMSU backgate -Attack students

The protracted strike of staff of the Imo State University Owerri has
assumed a tragic dimension as suspected cultists suspected to be
students of the institute have issued an automatic quit notice order
to all persons resident along the Imo State University backgate and
profusely around the Bishop's court axis, who were instructed to
"leave or meet your doom when next we come".

The underworld men issued the order to tenants especially female
students residents at the Merit, Friendship and Steve/Jean hostel
along the Chukwumah Nwoha street opposite Owerri club after a massive
room to room robbery operations on Wednesday night, June 1, 2016,
lasting for hours.

After the three hours uninhibited robbery attack which took the
criminal room to room during which the robbers collected trinkets,
jewelries, cell phones, laptops and cash, they cautioned them to quit
before the end of Saturday June 4 when they intend to carry out a more
dastardly raid. They cautioned their victims to know how to use their
phones and make no calls.

It was reported that though there used to be a police check point
close to the affected area but there was no presence of security
operatives throughout the midnight raid.

imsuvila Sources close to the hostels area said the quit order and
threat had sent shivers into the spines of the area especially female
students, most of who were seen vacating their rooms yesterday to
avoid being caught in the web of actions.

imsuvila disclose that the young cultists/robbers have been having
field day robbing and gang-raping female residents or passing through
the hostels located on the new road linking to the Orji fly over close
to the Living Christ Mission and on the Uratta road.

The recent actions of these marauders have made the popular IMSU
backgate and Bishop's court area a security area for commuters in the
past three days.
