UniAbuja SUG president suspended on corruption charges

Corruption transcends every aspect of society both high and low, it
doesn't just begin and end at the top.

According to reports, the Students Union Government (SUG) president of
the University of Abuja (UniAbuja), Chris Ifeanyi, has been accused by
the students' parliament on charges of corruption.

The SUG president was accused of stealing N4million from the union's treasury.

Ifeanyi reportedly hid in a hotel in Wuse town, Abuja, while
pretending to be in Lagos for an official assignment for which he had
collected N1million.

Ifeanyi was spotted coming out of the hotel dressed in a pair of
shorts and singlet, by a comrade who thought he only stepped out for a
quick round of shopping.

Ifeanyi has been suspended indefinitely by the UniAbuja students'
parliament, according to reports.
