Imo Workers report Okorocha to God

Some Imo state civil servants the in Department of Board of Internal
Revenue (BIR) under ministry of Internal Revenue and Pension Matters,
organized a prayer summit, urging God to intervene in their situations
under the Rescue Mission led by Governor Rochas Okorocha.

The prayer summit took last week at the state secretariat premises
with the civil servants on black attire.
They said that the reason for their prayer was for God to touch
governor Okorocha to reverse his order on them that they should
proceed on compulsory leave .

They said governor Okorocha led administration had issued them through
the commissioner Dr. Vitalis Ajumbe letters ordering them to commence
indefinite compulsory leave with no reason stipulated.
They described the governor's order as wrong and inhuman treatment
since most of them involved have spent years in the ministry waiting
for retirement .

They disclosed that the government thought of sending them on
compulsory leave when the state needs their service was unfair.
