NUC: Benue varsity law faculty to be shut down

This is due to the fact that the university has not met the
professional requirement.

The Nigerian Universities Commission (NUC) will soon withdraw
accreditation of the law faculty of the Benue State University (BSU),
Makurdi.
This development was made known by
the school's » Vice Chancellor, Prof. Msugh Kembe in Makurdi this past weekend.
Kembe said the shut down of the faculty became necessary by the
Council of Legal Education and NUC because the university has not met
the professional requirement.
According to him, the requirement for a fully accredited law faculty
of any universities in the country were a well furnished mute court,
law building, law clinic and library as well as proper mix of
professional staff which the BSU has not met.
